Setting a Platform for Success

Our greatest problem is not people, the devil, culture or any other external thing. Our greatest problem is right between our ears, our thoughts. The bible calls our wrong thoughts strongholds. We are to capture our thoughts and bring everyone of them into the obedience of Christ. Romans 12 : 2 tells us to renew our thoughts so we can can think and act like Jesus. In this great message Ps Shayne shows how this is possible.

SET A PLATFORM FOR SUCCESS !!!

What will be your greatest battle for the rest of this year?  Spiritual powers, principalities, flesh, someone else?  YOUR THOUGHTS.  Not your spirit, it was made new when you were Born Again. The thing that will stop you reaching the next level in God will more than likely be your thoughts. Thoughts affect your will and emotions, which affect your spirit.   Have a thought, I don’t feel like praying.  What do you end up doing if you do not do something about those thoughts?  How many times have we struggled in this life called Christianity, thinking there must be something wrong with me.  Yes there is.  We think we are a bad person because we find ourselves doing things we don’t want to do. We have never changed our thoughts/image of ourselves. Our culture and upbringing have formed thoughts about ourselves. Some of those thoughts are wrong. They have effected your feelings, will and spirit. You act out of thoughts, you speak out of thoughts. Coming to church today was founded from a thought. How many thought about not coming?  Salvation came out of a thought. Your failures came out of a thought. Thoughts are not spiritual, they are in the soul. They can originate from the spirit realm, but they effect our soul. Our soul is not Born Again. It must be renewed.   Rom 12:2 AMP.     Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God,  even  the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (Romans 12:2 AMP)
This talks about what to do.  But how do I do it?  Words are more powerful than thoughts.

2 Cor 10:4_5.      For the weapons of our warfare  are  not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2 Corinthians 10:4, 5 NKJV) We use a more powerful weapon than thoughts, words. Not just any words, but the word of God.

See yourself as God sees you. God said everything they can imagine they can do, they can do it. 2 Cor 3:18.      But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV)

Psalm 19:7.         The law of the Lord  is  perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord  is  sure, making wise the simple; (Psalm 19:7 NKJV) The word converts my soul.

Feel the truth of what you think. Think depressed thoughts, how do you feel?  Happy thoughts, happy feelings.  Feelings come from thoughts.  How do you feel when the bible says you are righteous? When you so deeply renew your thinking and a wrong thought comes up immediately you go to what you’ve put in there.
Our thoughts are not His thoughts, but they can be.        Isa 55:8_9.      “For My thoughts  are  not your thoughts, Nor  are  your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For  as  the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8, 9 NKJV)
